Development of Inland Container Depots

There are three ICDs existing in and around Hyderabad currently. However, in order to aid the booming industry in the region and to position Hyderabad as a key transhipment hub for Southen India, the Government of Telangana has proposed to construct 4 new ICDs at Zaheerabad along National Highway (NH)-9, Bhongir along NH-163, Jadcherla along NH-7 and Damarcharla along the Miryalaguda-Wadapally highway. This opens up opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs in logistics, warehousing, cold chain etc. These terminals of ICDs will also accommodate Agri parks, Cold chains, Bulk handling facilities, Collateral warehousing and Liquid logistics facilities.
