VOV.VN – Vietnamese students are joining thousands of representatives from more than 70 countries worldwide at the ongoing Eurasian Economic Forum of the Youth that runs until April 19.

Le Chi Loi, First Secretary at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia led the Vietnamese delegation comprising students who are pursuing study at the Ural State University of Economics to the plenary session themed “Russia-Asia-Africa-Latin America: The Economy of Mutual Trust”, held in Moscow, Russia.

Addressing the forum, Loi, who is also in charge of the management of Vietnamese students in Russia, underlined the fruitful outcomes of the country’s education reforms in recent years, especially the enhancement of universities’ role in training and providing qualified workforce.

He laid big stress on the fruitful cooperation in education between Vietnam and Russia over the past years, adding that there are some 6,000 Vietnamese students studying at 170 universities across Russia.

The Vietnamese graduates of Russian universities have made proactive contributions to Vietnam’s construction and development cause, he said.

He also took the occasion to thank Russian teachers and universities for creating the best conditions for Vietnamese students in the past years.

The forum raises discussion on current trends in national and global economy, with a hope of creating motives and a favourable environment for initiatives and innovation in scientific research and promoting a start-up spirit among young people.

A host of events will be organized within the framework of the forum, including symposiums,  cross-cultural exchanges, photo exhibitions, and an international martial art festival.
