We're excited to invite you to a seminar on Climate & Green Transition: Sharing practical perspectives from business, education and the public sector, hosted by Veolia Energia Poznan S.A. This event is all about learning and sharing ideas on how we can make our world more sustainable.

The seminar will kick off with a guided tour of the Veolia CHP plant. Protective clothing will be provided for the tour, so if you are interested in joining, please make sure to arrive on time. 

Following the visit of the Veolia CHP Plant, the Climate & Green Transition seminar will officially be opened by:

  • Kees van Rijn, Kasper Vencken - NPCC Board Wielkopolska
  • Zuzanna Lewandowska - Commercial Director, Member of the Board Veolia Energeia Poznan S.A
  • Huub Drabbe - Head of the Economic Department The Embassy of The Netherlands

After the introduction, five perspectives on Climate & Green Transition will be shared:

  • Political/Strategic Perspective: Presented by Huub Drabbe, Head of the Economic Department of the Embassy of The Netherlands, covering climate policy, business transition, financing green investments, and international cooperation.
  • Urban Perspective: Presented by Huub Droogh from RDH Urban and Magdalena Żmuda, Director of the Climate and Environment Department, focusing on cities in transition, climate change adaptation, and accelerating the transition to a resilient economy.
  • Business/Innovation Perspective: Exploring investor involvement, industry synergies with renewable energy, and more.
  • PPP Perspective: Presented by Zuzanna Lewandowska, Commercial Director, Member of the Board, covering energy efficiency cooperation, challenges in forming partnerships, and more.
  • Academic Perspective: Presented by Dr. Stanisław Świtek from Poznan University of Life Sciences, discussing science challenges, technological trends, and more.

The event will conclude with closing remarks from Zuzanna Lewandowska, Commercial Director and Member of the Board at Veolia, and Kasper Vencken, Director of Bergpol Investment in Poland. Following their remarks, we'll explore potential avenues for follow-up initiatives and networking opportunities.
