Opportunities and Challenges

Vietnam is often referred to as the “new China”, but it’s better to judge this country of over 90 million inhabitants in its own right.

Due to its strategic position within South East Asia, the long-term strategy of the Vietnamese government, large and well-skilled workforce, Vietnam has experienced record growths year-on-year. It’s economic outlook remains positive, even despite COVID-19. Entrepreneurs can tap into the  rapidly developing middle class and the country offers unique opportunities for regional production and/or assembly.  Many Dutch companies present focus on more sustainable products, services and production methods and benefit from the opportunities on water safety & technology, agri-food, horti culture and smart & circular solutions.

Business success in Vietnam requires a willingness for a long-term strategy and investment in Vietnam, its culture and its people.
