On the afternoon of April 12, DBAV was honored to attend the Conference on Promoting Investment in Hoc Mon and Cu Chi Districts 2022, organized by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee at the City Hall. The Conference was chaired by H.E Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc - President of Vietnam and co-chaired by Ho Chi Minh City Leaders and Ministers of Planning and Investment; Transport and Information and Communications.
Hoc Mon and Cu Chi Districts are two suburban districts with a total area of about 544 hectares, occupying almost the entire North - Northwest part of Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, there are 55 projects calling for investment in Cu Chi and Hoc Mon Districts with a total capital of 12.4 billion USD, equivalent to more than 285,500 billion VND. Having a speech at the conference, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc assessed that the two districts of Hoc Mon and Cu Chi have many strategic advantages, located in the buffer zone bordering the provinces of Long An, Binh Duong, and Tay Ninh and have the ability to connect with convenient waterways towards the Saigon River. Focus sectors included the industrial economy, tourism, services, high-tech agriculture, waste treatment, and social housing, with the target to develop these two districts as ecological, smart, and sustainable urban areas.
To achieve the target as well as attract investors, Ho Chi Minh City together with the two districts will continue to reform better investment environment, faster and more favorable, especially in attracting and treating talents; encouraging innovative start-ups, developing private enterprises, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, reduce administrative procedures, building e-government.
