The issue of plastic waste management has been identified as a core issue in Vietnam. Increasing plastic consumption due to population growth, urbanization, and international plastic scrap imports,in combination with a lacking waste infrastructure where waste isn’t sufficiently collected, sorted, or disposed, creates immense pollution causing damage to the environment and health. Today, Vietnam ranks among the top 4 plastic polluters globally.

However, there are good news. Vietnams government accepts the challenge to restructure the aching system and promotes circular economy practices as a solution to combat plastic waste. This webinar shall enhance and inspire Dutch-Vietnamese business collaboration on circular plastic waste management.
