The Netherlands Business Council UAE is delighted to invite all members to our monthly networking event on Sunday the 20th of March, the last event NBC will host at Expo 2020. This event offers interesting and exciting face-to-face networking opportunities.

During this event, we will focus on the theme "Water" an important topic for both the Netherlands and the GCC region. 

Key speakers are Erik van Eekelen from Van Oord and Marco Seghi from Culligan Middle East. Furthermore, there will be an exposition called "The Dyke" at the Netherlands Pavilion. All guests will have the opportunity to explore and experience this exposition.

Erik van Eekelen - Building with Nature
Van Oord is one of the proud Founding Fathers of EcoShape, a consortium that leads the knowledge development on Building with Nature for almost 15 years. What is Building with Nature and what does it bring to the Dutch hydraulic engineering sector? Erik van Eekelen, Manager Environmental Engineering at Van Oord, and former Program Manager at EcoShape and editor of the book Building with Nature: Creating, implementing and upscaling Nature-based Solutions provides highlights and backgrounds of this philosophy and how it leads to business.

Marco Seghi, Topic:  Water Treatment in a Future City
Marco works as a Director at Culligan, a global leader in water treatment solutions. He is actively involved in projects related to designing sustainable water solutions for upcoming future cities in the region.  

The Dyke Exposition
Exposition ‘The Dyke, social impact stories of a Dutch icon’ is a multimedia project made by photographer Cynthia Boll and journalist Stephanie Bakker in cooperation with Van Oord and will be exhibited at the Netherlands Pavilion during our networking event. The project focuses on the social impact of maritime projects. Themes such as climate change, ecology, water safety, and economic importance are addressed through personal stories and reports.
